How long does ceramic coating last?
We offer two coatings. Adam's 1-year ceramic coating comes with the 1-Year Upgrade and the Gold Inside and Out. Suncoat 5-year ceramic coating comes with the 5-Year Coating and the Diamond package.
How long does the 5-year coating take?
About 5 to 6 hours of work, then the coating needs a full day to cure. The car should stay dry for at least 24 hours after we finish.
What if it rains on my appointment day?
We bring a tent, so light weather does not stop us, but a dry day is best. If heavy rain is in the forecast we may suggest moving your appointment so the coating can cure properly.
Do you prep the paint before coating?
Yes. Every coating includes a hand wash, iron decontamination, clay bar and a one-step machine polish to remove light swirls and haze. If you want deeper scratches removed, we can quote additional paint correction in person.
What parts of the car get coated?
The ceramic coating goes on all painted surfaces. Wheels, glass and plastic trim can be coated too as add-ons. Just ask when you book.
How do I take care of my car after a ceramic coating?
Wait at least 3 days before the first wash. Use a pH-neutral car soap and avoid alkaline or harsh cleaners, which can wear the coating down. Regular hand washes keep it performing its best.
Does the 5-year coating come with a warranty?
Yes, when the care terms are met. The car should be garage kept, washed regularly, and brought in for a maintenance wash check-up every 3 months.
